Page 1 of 3 Policy Making Organs:The Association has the following organs: - The Governing Council - The Executive Committee and its technical sub-committees comprising.
- The Secretariat and any other administrative organ the Governing Council may determine. - The Governing Council comprises elected officials (15) each from each of the National Associations of LGAs. The Governing Council is the highest decision making structure of the Association with the power to resolve all matters relating to objectives, functions and activities of the association.The Executive Committee comprise the Chairman and the Vice Chairman elected by secret ballot during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Sub-Committees of the Executive Committee address specialized areas and report to the Executive Committee. Currently the Secretariat is manned by the Secretary General and three seconded officials from ALAT. Other National Associations are committed to seconding officers at Programme Officer level during the initial stages. |
